This website was set up with a number of intentions.
When we surveyed GPs in June/July 2007 the message we got back loud and clear was that my collegues wanted more specialist palliative care educational input.
Due to the size of the patch its is not practical to provide face to face specialist palliative care teaching to everyone.
This website is the next best alternative.
Here you will find regularly updated listings of educational events occurring in the wider palliative care community, and at PBL (Under Training)
You will also find a regularly updated bank of educational resources, including presentations given by the specialist palliative care team and myself (under Education)
From time to time there may also be other general points of interest.
